Over many years Banbury Rotary has provided help at Christmas for people that local charities and agencies identify as being in need.
Traditionally this took the form of food parcels: something that changed during the pandemic where parcels had to be replaced by supermarket-vouchers.
By 5th December 2022 Banbury Rotary had – via eight local charities and agencies – distributed £5000 in vouchers to those in need.
Our thanks to:
- All those organisations and individuals who made donations and contributions towards the Christmas 2022 vouchers.
- The charities and agencies who liaise with us to get the vouchers to people in need.
- Sainsburys who, on 17th December, allowed those who work on this project to collect at the store entrance. Nearly £500 was collected to kick-start next year’s voucher fund!
