Rotary District Assembly – 29 Apr 2023

This will be a great opportunity to meet fellow Rotarians from Clubs within our district to exchange, share ideas, have fun and fellowship.

There are many changes and initiatives being introduced including the district secretary role, along with new projects run successfully by clubs both inside and outside district. You will also hear about the Thames Valley Direct Membership Hub.

We will also have an “Internet Café” with laptops where trainers will assist you either individually or as a group to navigate around the DMS, My Rotary, Rotary View, or wherever you feel you would like help most. If you have a specific need, please do not hesitate to email me: dge@rotary1090.org to ensure this is met.

I also have a limited number of books for Ukrainian children to record their time in the UK.

The first part of the day will be a Plenary Session addressed by me and my Team. Then, after refreshments, there will be a choice of breakout sessions offering practical exercises and discussions of skills and knowledge.

There will also be an End Polio Walk to the Town Hall at 1.45pm. Purple High Viz, Wigs, and Purple hands will be provided.

We will also be discussing our 100 years of Rotary in the Thames Valley Celebration in 2024.

It promises to be an inspirational morning. Please save the date and come along with your friends and family! There will be a limited number of children’s games and books available to keep them amused whilst they remain in your care. When registering children for a “mid morning buttie” please indicate their age.

I look forward to welcoming you in person for what will be an informative and motivating beginning of our year as the leaders of our clubs and district.
