Rotary has collected for various charities over the Christmas period.
Thanks to everyone who donated.
Much of the collecting was done at the entrances to local supermarkets – Morrisons, Sainsburys and Tesco – to whom thanks.
A ‘Christmas Spirit’ was set with carols provided by a traditional barrel organ and by the Banbury Rock Choir.
A total of just over £3800 was collected and will soon be disbursed to benefit local charities including Katharine House Hospice and charities focussed upon dementia care and sight impairment.

In addition to this Rotary provided £5000 in cash or supermarket vouchers via agencies who identified people in special need over the Christmas period. We’ll post about this separately.
