On Thursday 20th July a group of Rotarians were invited to the Griffith Centre at Frank Wise School where two students, Jason and Cameron, engaged us with a presentation about their recent Rotary supported youth training expedition.
On Thursday 20th July a group of Rotarians were invited to Frank Wise school where two students, Jason and Cameron, engaged us with a presentation about their recent Rotary supported youth training expedition.
Upon reaching the training venue in Devon both students were made aware of the level of challenge that they had signed-up to. As well as testing their abilities to demonstrate a high degree of independent living it also included challenges such as rock climbing and abseiling.
Despite thinly veiled apprehension, both students took on and met the challenges through ‘grit and determination’ and the pride in what they had achieved shon through in their presentations. Thank you Jason and Cameron for sharing your experiences.
