Food Parcels
On the 12th & 13th December 2021 an enterprising energetic group of Rotarians from the Rotary Club of Banbury spent time persuading the wonderful people of Banbury to donate lots of their hard-earned money. This was distributed in the form of vouchers or donations to local organisations who used it to make Christmas an extra special occasion for individuals and families identified as deserving of help.
Organisations involved with the distribution include: The Salvation Army, The Sunshine Centre, Home Start Bicester Banbury & Chipping Norton, The Refuge, The Hub (Future Vision), Age UK and the Royal Voluntary Service plus relevant Social Services (Samuelson House) teams.
We must also make special mention of sponsorship and support from local organisations including Borough of Banbury Trust, Banbury Charities, Banbury Heating, Glazpart, Norbar and Pubstuff.
These examples show some of the ways Banbury Rotary has adapted to the challenges faced over the past two years. By appropriately adapting we will continue to help people locally, nationally, and worldwide.
