🇬🇧 Banbury Rotary Club at Remembrance Sunday 2025 🇬🇧
Today, members of Banbury Rotary Club were honoured to take an active part in Banbury’s Remembrance Day commemorations — a moving and unifying occasion for our town as we remembered those who gave so much for our freedom.
As well as the president laying a wreath at Banbury’s War Memorial on behalf of the Club, several Rotarians were busy acting as marshals. to help ensure the day’s processions and services ran smoothly and safely. Their teamwork and quiet dedication helped ensure things flowed perfectly.
The commemorations followed two busy weeks in which Rotary members have been, volunteering at local supermarket poppy stalls to help raise funds for the Royal British Legion. These collections directly support current and former service personnel and their families..
Community members gathered for a service at St Mary’s Church, followed by wreath laying and a procession back to the Town Hall. As always it was inspiring to see Banbury together in unity, and remembrance.
Moments like today highlight what Rotary is all about — service above self, community spirit, and dedication to making a positive difference. From fundraising and youth projects to events like this, Banbury Rotary Club is proud to be at the heart of our town all year round.
🌹 Lest we forget.
