The Young Musician Competition will be held at Banbury Cricket Club, Bodicote, on Saturday 7"’ February 2026 with Junior Classes commencing at 2pm, and Intermediate and Senior Classes in the afternoon and evening. Trophies will be awarded to the winners of each class. The closing date for all entries is Saturday 20 December.
Our competition gives youngsters the opportunity to perform alongside other musicians of similar age and ability, in front of very supportive audiences, and to receive feedback from experienced adjudicators. It gives them a valuable focus for their learning, and of course there are prizes, including £100 for the Young Musician of the Year and £25 for the Junior Young Musician of the Year.
