2025 will be the 25th year of this service which was started at the millennium and is the only occasion in the year that the participating clubs come together in a joint event which is followed by coffee/tea, mince pies and a good chat.
The Rev'd Alan Haine who was a member of Banbury Rotary club and took our very first service in 2000 has accepted our invitation to attend as has the Rev'd Rob Anning, who was a tower of strength to us. I am delighted that we will have Mariette Saye and Sele as our guest and also the Town mayor Clr. Keiron Mallon.
The consensus view seems to be that the main beneficiary of the offertory will be the Food Bank.
Every club is invited to contribute with a reading of some sort, hosting a guest, doing the collection or making tea/coffee. The whole thing usually works like clockwork and is most enjoyable. It will be the Rev'd David Alderman's "swan song" before he retires. He has amazing presentational skills and a tremendous sense of humour. Please come along.
