The Rotary Club of Banbury has launched its new Corporate Membership programme by inducting 4 new members representing the Westminster Group Plc., an international security & managed services group with headquarters in Banbury, at an induction ceremony on 12 July 2024.
With around 1.4 million members, in 46,000 clubs across 166 countries, Rotary is the oldest and one of the largest service organisations for business and professional people in the world.
The Corporate Membership programme is being rolled out by Rotary clubs around the world and allows business and organisations of any size, including, schools, charities and government entities, to work closer together supporting communities whilst enabling their employees to develop personal and professional skills through Rotary.
There are many advantages for businesses and organisations who become Corporate Members of Rotary, including networking, marketing and entertaining opportunities. In addition, many businesses today are looking at ways to develop their Corporate & Social Responsibility (“CSR”) activities.
CSR is a hot topic currently, applying to organisations of all sizes. It can enhance an organisation’s reputation with its customer base by publicising the good works being done for the local community. It can make all the difference in business relationships.
Commenting on the launch of the new Corporate Membership programme, Charles Hughes President of the Rotary Club of Banbury, said:
“We are very excited about the new Corporate Membership programme. It is good for the organisation in developing networking opportunities and supporting the community, it is good for Rotary by expanding our support network and ability to get things done, and it is good for the local community. It is good for everyone.
“I am delighted therefore that the Westminster Group Plc. have agreed to be our first Corporate Member, soon to be joined by many other local business and organisations.
“Whether you are a single trader or a larger business, whether you are looking to build your network or CSR credentials or simply would like to give something back and support the local community, we would love to hear from you. Rotary is well positioned to complement your business and help you support our community.”
