Plastic Blitz Clean-up – 1 June 2024

We all know of the problem plastic pollution is posing for the world’s oceans.  End Plastic Soup is an international Rotary project to try to address that problem.
Within that, Plastic Blitz is a Rotary Thames Valley / Thames 21 / Environment Agency project to clear plastic and other rubbish from the River Thames and its sources so to prevent it reaching the oceans.

From 9:30 on  Saturday June 1st The Rotary Club of Banbury will again be joining with Banbury Town Council to clear, as far as is possible, plastic and other rubbish from the River Cherwell and the canal between Hennef Way and the Tramway estate.  (The Town Council have kindly agreed to provide bags, gloves and pick sticks)

Members awho have not already signed up should contact David S if they wish to take part.
