Children Heard and Seen is a local charity that Banbury Rotary Club has supported in the past.
They work with children, young people (and their families) impacted by having a parent in prison.
As well as supporting the children through the experience the aim is to drastically reduce the likelihood of them also ending up in the criminal justice system: something they do with remarkable success.
They have just produced a report about the particular issues facing families with a parent serving a sentence for crimes of a sexual nature. It makes for sober reading but also raises awareness of the importance of the positive interventions the charity attempts to make.
