The proposal for a ‘Festival of Voices’ concert with young children singing as part of Festival 200 came from Tudor Hall School.
Banbury Rotary Club and Tudor Hall School have a long history of seamlessly working together on events for young people and many of these have been held in St Mary’s Church, Banbury.
It was fitting, therefore, that one of Rotary’s first major post-lockdown events should be a joint effort between Tudor Hall and Rotary at St Mary’s Church.
Of course the real thanks goes to the teachers and students of the participating schools who provided the musical content and to their parents who made up much of the audience.
We were happy to present a cheque for £550 arising from the Festival 200 concert for St Mary’s Church, Banbury and we look forward to similar ongoing collaborations over the coming years.
From Sarah Bourne (Associate Priest and Chaplain for the Arts at St Mary’s Church, Banbury)
Thank you so much for coming across to St Mary’s on Monday, and most especially for the marvellous cheque which you brought. We are hugely grateful.
