The pandemic didn’t stop young people taking part in the Banbury Rotary Club Photographic Competition but it did delay presentations to the winners – until very recently.
The winners were Finn Tibbetts, who goes to St John’s Priory School (juniors) and Hollie Hughes, a Chenderit pupil who won the intermediate section of the competition.
Entrants were asked to submit three photographs on a theme of Wild Nature. Finn’s winning pictures were a wonderful photo of reflections on a lake, a shot of an extraordinarily well-camouflaged frog and a well-judged picture of a line of trees.
Hollie’s selection comprised a cheerful robin, a huge, naked tree in winter and some beautiful, bright blue garden flowers.
Congratulations to these winners and thanks to all the schools and clubs that encouraged participation in the event.
We hope to repeat it next year when hopefully we will also get some entries from the older 14-16 age group.
