Nigel Deakin provides this following his announcement at club last week with regards to ‘Lend With Care’.

We as a club donated £609 to invest in Lend with Care projects in 2019 and we have since supported four projects of our choosing each with £150; one in Malawi, two in Ecuador and one in the West Bank . Two have repaid their loans and two are currently repaying; all of the small businesses seem to be doing well. The beauty of Micro finance is that the same money can be used over and over to help groups and individuals in developing countries to stand on their own feet.
Last year, however, our funds were reduced by £300, through our one off donation to Lend With Care’s specific covid appeal. It would be great if we can increase what’s left, to allow us to invest more proactively once again, so any support is much appreciated. Nigel D
